Djarot Hoped Sea Sovereignty to Be Discussed in KAA

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat hope the sea sovereignty  will also be discussed in the commemoration of 60th Asian-African Conference (KAA).

Djarot assessed, the event is the right moment for discussing sea sovereignty. Thus each country could appreciate and respect the country's boundary on the sea  thus it could protect fishermen of each country.

"There is an strategic issue in KAA, our sea sovereignty problem. It should be discussed in this event," said Djarot, at City Hall, Tuesday(4/21).

One of the sea sovereignty discussion, he continued, is eradicating illegal fishing. Do not let fishermen empowerment which is conducted by each country become useless, as too much fish explored.

"So I just told the minister, in order to put this on a genda for respecting the sea sovereignty of each other," he expressed.
